About Prince Emmanuel

Born and raised on the flats of South Andros, Prince Emmanuel is more than a guide — he’s a product of the island itself.

“I’m an island boy… I do island things.”

That connection runs deep. Long before skiffs and fly rods, life on South Andros revolved around survival — lobster fishing, commercial work, doing whatever it took to get by. Opportunity was limited, and like many others, Prince left the island searching for something more.

But the island never left him.

A Different Path

While many chose to leave, Prince saw something others didn’t — a future built on the water he grew up on.

Bonefishing wasn’t just a job. It was a chance to create something sustainable, something meaningful. A way to stay rooted in South Andros while building a life doing what he loves.

“The bonefish are more dependable… so I decided I was going to try.”

That decision changed everything.

The Craft of a Guide

Guiding on South Andros isn’t learned overnight. It’s earned — through patience, repetition, and time on the water.

Under the mentorship of seasoned local guides, Prince developed the instincts that define a great flats guide:

  • Reading subtle movements in the water

  • Positioning the skiff with precision

  • Anticipating fish before they appear

It’s a craft built one day at a time — “a learning process… every day you learn more and more.”

Today, that experience translates into something clients immediately feel: calm confidence, quiet precision, and an ability to consistently put anglers in the right place at the right time.

More Than Fishing

For Prince, guiding is bigger than chasing bonefish.

It’s about creating opportunity.

South Andros is a place where many leave because they feel they have no choice. Prince is part of a new generation working to change that — proving that a life can be built right here on the flats.

“I want to be able to give back… so more people stay here and make a living doing what they love.”

His vision goes beyond guiding — it’s about building something that supports the island, the people, and the future of the fishery.

What It Means to Fish with Prince

When you step on the skiff with Prince, you’re not just hiring a guide.

You’re fishing with someone who:

  • Knows these flats from a lifetime of experience

  • Understands the rhythms of the tides and seasons

  • Brings patience, focus, and genuine passion to every day

There’s no rush. No noise. Just the quiet push of the pole, the flash of a tail, and the moment everything comes together.

Rooted in the Flats

Prince didn’t choose this life by accident.

He chose it because it’s who he is.

And when you fish with him, you feel it — in every push across the flat, every shot at a cruising fish, every story shared between casts.

This isn’t just guiding.

This is South Andros, through the eyes of someone who never stopped believing in it.
